This article will be covering the field trips that the 7th grade took this year. The first day was Waterworks, followed by Kayaking and Blue Hills, finally Cape Cod. All trips were important and informative for the students.
Day 1 was the Waterworks Museum. This trip was not my favorite, mostly because it was a lot more learning than having fun. We went to the museum and learned about the big water machine that we saw. Then we did some learning activities, and ended with a walk around the Reservoir. Overall I would rate this experience a 2/5, and would not recommend it for next year’s 7th graders.
Day 2 was the Kayaking and Blue hills. This trip was super fun because we got to kayak in the Charles River, solve a scavenger hunt, and hike up the Blue Hills Mountains. We started with kayaking, which I know everybody seemed to be having fun. Then we hiked up to the Blue Hills Observatory, and learned about the weather. I would rate this experience 3/5, just because the Blue Hills could’ve been more fun.
Day 3 was Cape Day. This day was definitely the best day on the trip. We started by going to a Weetu, a Native American house, and talked to a Native American. Then we went to a museum for a little bit which was fun. Then we went to the tidal flats which was one of the best parts, we got to explore and see the ocean. Then we went to the sand dunes which was my favorite part, we jumped off the edges and had a great time.

In conclusion, I liked the Cape trip the best, then the Kayaking, and lastly the Waterworks
