You may know A&W for its root beer but did you know that they actually have a restaurant, there is an American chain and a Canadian chain. The Canadian chain is owned by Unilever, for this article I will be focusing on the Canadian chain. It is definitely worth a try if your in the area. A&W goes for a quality over quality philosophy meaning than they go for high quality on their website it says: “Good food makes good food, but there’s more to our story than that. From using compostable packaging to fundraising to support Canadians living with Multiple Sclerosis, we strive to make a positive impact in our community.” Also they tend to use ingredients farmed responsibly such as their beef which uses “low Impact Ranching” which focuses on conserving the Canadian grasslands, where they raise cattle. Although, multiple sources have said that some of their beef is actually be from the USA. So take everything with a grain of salt. If I had to recommend a burger to get there it would definitely be the Uncle Burger it comes with bacon, tomato, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo. (Adding mayo is a Canadian thing, I just ask for it to be removed when I get it.) their fries and onion rings are also amazing, and of course be sure to get root beer. I highly recommend this place!
