Community Service Club

BY AMIRLAN J.

The Community Service Club has started this month, and is looking for members to help with its many contributions to the WMS community. So, today I’ll be (trying) to persuade you to take a look into this club and (hopefully) join it! Let’s start with a few commonly asked questions, shall we?

WHY? Yeah, yeah, I know. Why would I possibly ever want to join this club when there are so many other clubs to join besides this one? Well, there are actually many more reasons to join it than you might think. In fact, I’m positive that your entire idea of “Community Service Club” is a long shot from the actual thing. This club aids the school with a range of different things from creating cards to putting arts and crafts to good use and developing drives to help people in need. If that doesn’t persuade some of you, let me tell you that this group tends and harvests the garden, so if you have a green thumb or want to try your hand at gardening, then this is definitely for you. Most importantly, this particular club helps kids find their voice and express themselves, as well as being able to interact with their peers and have a lot of fun.

WHERE? It would be a little tedious for you if I just left you hanging right there, because you would most likely be like “that’s it? What? Where is it? I don’t get this! When do they meet?” I’ve been there. More than once. But, to spare you the stress here are the times, dates and places. Let me begin. AHEM. Every Wednesday at lunch, 6th graders can go to room 101 (Ms. Prasad’s room), and 7th graders can go to room 146 (Ms. Duesterberg’s room).

So! That’s my article, so let’s conclude with a few more questions. How do you see this club now? Awesome, right? That’s my only question. If you want to know more, go to the Announcements and I’m betting that it’ll be there.

  1. Hello, I’m also a member of the community service club and really love doing it. We also have it this year during 7th Grade lunch as well. We meet in Ms. Duesterberg’s Room, 146, which is in the 7th wing on the right.
