Are Are Ferrets Worth The Extra Work?
Ferrets are fun and playful. They are calm around humans. But ferrets are not all, fun they require a clean cage and lots of food and water. Ferrets need to be let out every day. It’s harder than it looks to have such a cute pet!
Ferrets Can Teach Kids Responsibility
Ferrets may be a lot of work but is that a good thing? Kids can learn to be responsible for their pet because if they don’t give it what it need when it, needs it a ferret will insist on what it wants by making a lot of noise just by scratching on the ground. Ferrets are the perfect pet for kids to learn how to care for a pet. Ferrets only need to be fed once every 2-3 days. Kids will be able to handle that. When they are at school, thats ok ferrets can sleep that whole time. A 11 year old girl Sarah Davis says, “They are cute small and energetic.” Ferrets not only are fun but can teach responsibility.
Ferrets May Not Be the Perfect Pet for You
If you are the kind of person who does not like stinky smells and a little animal running around the ferret is not for you. Ferrets smell very bad especially if you do not clean their cage enough. Not only do they smell bad but they also need a ton of exercise. Ferrets need to be let out every day so they run around and they can be hard to catch. So if you don’t like stink and you would prefer to not have your pet running around and playing hide and seek when its time to go back in the cage ferrets may not be the pet for you.
Ferrets, Fun and Friendly
Ferrets are very good around people because they never bite. Ferrets grow to love you. They love to explore but not as much as they love you once you have been with them for a few years. Lots of kids are dying for a ferret once they have seen them. An 11 year old girl, Lily Bergstrom said, “They make great pets and they are very cute!” Ferrets are great pets like Lily said. So if you see a ferret and immediately said no to the idea think again, they are a lot nicer then you may think.
Troublemakers
A ferret was wandering around (as they do) and poked its head in a small hole in the wall. When it pulled, its head was stuck! The owner had to tear some of the wall off just to get the ferret out. Ferret’s curiosity can lead to damage. so ferrets are not all fun and fluffy. Ferrets can be real troublemakers so maybe they are not such good pets after all.
Ferret for a Pet
Even with the downsides of having a ferret, there are way more upsides. Ferrets are worth a little extra work. They are not hard to care for and easier than a dog or a cat. Ferrets may not be a usual pet but that makes them special and they are one of the best pets. Ferrets are fun, friendly, loving, and entertaining. So if you’re looking for a pet, get a ferret they will make a great pet!
