Okay, so I didn’t completely make this recipe, but I helped with it during a cooking class (thanks Alex!). This recipe is for a spicy shrimp, made with Thai chilis. It goes great as a main course, side dish, or on a crostini. You can lower any of the spicy ingredients if you don’t like spice. Enjoy!
Serves: as many as you want
25 Shrimp (Preferably de-shelled and cleaned)
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
5 Thai Chilies, or you can use 3 Tbsp of Thai Chili Paste
1½ Sesame Oil
¼ Stick of Butter
- If you’re using Thai chilies cut them into 1 cm wide rings, then mix all the wet ingredients together, also add the Thai chilies (if your using them). If you’re using Thai chili paste add that now. Then put in your shrimp, and spread the spice mix all over the shrimps, let marinate for 1 hour in a bowl. After the 30 minute mark remix the shrimp in the sauce.
- Put butter in a hot pan, then dump the marinating shrimp and spice mix into the pan when the butter has melted, then sautee until cooked, serve immediately.
