A Seasick Sea

A Seasick Sea
by Maria Arenas

An ocean
totters
back and forth,
seasick.
Its waves,
like cobalt hands,
pull forwards
and clench at the shore
in frenzied escape.
But with a smirk,
and a shrug of its pale green
shoulders,
the sea foam rolls
the thinned out, glassy waves
back into its not so homely
home.
